There have been several methods for pulling off this effect, but I don't think any are as easy or as clean as this one. Some advantages of this version over others are that the card case is shown empty at the beginning and the deck of cards can be examined at the end.
1) Deck is removed from case, case is shown empty.
2) Deck is spread and card is selected, can be changed if spectator likes
3) Card is placed about in the middle of the deck
4) Deck is held facing spectator, empty card case slid over top, and the selected card rises to the front when case is removed.
5) Deck may be passed out for examination, card may even be signed
A very visual change
No Force, No False Cuts, No False Shuffles, No Flaps, No Rubber Bands and No Problems.
